Coho action some of the best seen in many years around Puget Sound

In case you’re wondering where the fish checks are today this is a reminder that state Fish and Wildlife has the day off so we’ll make sure they get posted on Tuesday afternoon.

In the meantimes, coho fishing has been decent in many parts of central and northern Puget Sound with good action off Shilshole Bay at Meadow Point and to the south at West Point; off the Edmonds oil dock, Edmonds Marina, Jefferson Head, outer Elliott Bay, Browns Bay near the Spanish House, Possession Bar, southeast side of Whidbey Island.

The shorelines off the west side of Whidbey Island were fair to good for coho at Bush Point, Lagoon Point and Fort Casey.

Weekend reports from the Strait of Juan de Fuca also indicated fairly good action for hatchery coho off Sekiu, Freshwater Bay and Port Angeles.
