Columbia River and tributary fish checks

Cowlitz River – Sept. 3-9: 72 bank anglers caught nine chinook, and released two chinook and two cutthroat trout; 13 boat anglers caught 11 chinook and three steelhead, and released one steelhead.

Kalama River – Sept. 3-9: Nine bank anglers caught no fish.

Washougal River – Sept. 3-9: 56 bank anglers caught eight chinook and released five.

Columbia River in Bonneville Pool – Sept. 3-9: 43 boat anglers caught four chinook and two walleye, and released one chinook.

Columbia River in The Dalles Pool – Sept. 3-9: One bank angler released one sturgeon; two boats with seven anglers caught one sturgeon and released 23; three bank anglers caught two coho; 15 boats with 31 anglers caught two chinook and one one steelhead; two boats with three anglers caught one walleye.

Lower Columbia River below Bonneville Dam – Sept. 3-9: 729 bank anglers caught 101 chinook, one coho and nine steelhead, and released two chinook and three steelhead; 847 boats with 1,897 anglers caught 468 chinook, one coho and one steelhead, and released 14 chinook, three coho and four steelhead; one boat with two anglers caught no sturgeon; three boats with six anglers caught no walleye.
