Chinook fishery gaining steam on Columbia in Hanford Reach area

State Fish and Wildlife staff interviewed 132 boats with 307 anglers this past week. An estimated 325 adult fall chinook and 65 jacks were harvested (0.5 chinook per boat).

Effort has been focused in the lower portion of the fishery until this past week. Effort and harvest picked up throughout the Hanford Reach over the weekend.

For the fishery, Aug 1 through Sept 9, an estimated 481 adult Chinook and 182 jacks have been harvested.
