Potholes Reservoir region generating decent fishing and duck hunting

Here is the latest Potholes Reservoir fishing report from Mike Meseberg at MarDon Resort:

Fishing update for the Potholes Reservoir Area

*Many fisher(man) have been enjoying the best Perch Fishing in a very long time. Perch are being caught in water 16 feet deep and deeper in the Lind Couleearea and near Goose Island. Reports of most Perch being caught are 8 inches or longer, which is a great sized fish for a fish fry.

*Bass Fishers are continuing to have good smallmouth action on the face of O’Sullivan Dam. The Crab Creek area is producing some largemouth bass action as well.

*Walleye action is still slow. As our weather gets colder the walleye fishing will only improve.

Hunting

Potholes Reservoir has been very good for duck hunting so far this season. Many mallards and some pintail and teal have been seen in large numbers on the reservoir.

If you are interested in a hunt the prices for Meseberg Adventures (The Duck Taxi) are:

$175 for a non-guided hunt, 2 person minimum.

$250 for a guided hunt, 3 person minimum.

We have many available dates open for the season, come check it out before the lake freezes over. For more information please visit the Duck Taxi wesbite.
