Reel Time trivia winner hails from Kent

Congratulations to Paul McCarrell of Kent who is this week’s Reel Time Trivia winner.

The trivia question of the week was:

This pond in Southwest Washington is one of the most heavily planted trout areas in Western Washington, and fishing is open year-round.

You can see this pond from I-5, and a bulkhead lines most of the south and west sides providing a great casting area for anglers. A county park also has hundred of yards of bank access. In fact just on Jan. 22, this pond received a plant of 1,500 rainbow trout, and got thousands more in early January.

The correct answer McCarrell gave was Klineline Pond.

“I am retired from both the Washington and Oregon Community College systems, and spend most of my time now fishing for trout,” McCarrell said. “One of my favorite local lakes, Lake Morton received a stock of 1,500 triploids in September last year, and that has provided those of us who fish Morton on a regular basis, with very exciting fishing for the last three months of 2012.”

McCarrell wins a nice outdoors prize.

This will be an ongoing weekly trivia contest where the winner who answers the question first will receive an outdoor prize that will range from books, Berkley bait, lures and other nifty items from the outdoors gunnysack.

The next trivia question will posted on Monday, Feb. 4. Winners are announced the following Friday.
