Women’s one-day waterfowl hunting workshop is March 23 in Monroe
The Washington Outdoor Women (WOW) are hosting an Introduction To Waterfowling March 23 at the French Creek Hunt Club in Snohomish Valley near Monroe.
WOW is partnering with the French Creek Hunt Club and Ducks Unlimited to provide instruction to women over age 18 in shotgun patterning and shooting moving clays, setting decoys, calling, the use of blinds, and understanding (by seeing) why a retriever is such an important partner in hunting.
The program will require lots of walking and potentially challenging wading situations so knee high rubber boots, hip boots or chest waders are a must for the ponds and blinds. Cost is $90, and includes instruction, equipment, shotguns, ammunition, clays, breakfast, lunch and a WOW shirt.
For a registration, go to www.washingtonoutdoorwomen.org.
The WOW Weekend Workshop will be Sept. 13-15 at Camp Waskowitz in North Bend. Registration begins June 15.
