Rivers and lakes
Cowlitz River — April 1-7: 100 bank anglers caught one spring chinook and three steelhead; 40 boat anglers caught three spring chinook and three steelhead, and released one spring chinook.
Kalama River — April 1-7: Six bank anglers caught no fish.
Drano Lake — April 1-7: Four bank anglers caught one spring chinook; six boat anglers caught two spring chinook; four boats observed last Saturday morning with no catch estimate.
Klickitat River — April 1-7: One bank angler caught no fish. River was muddy last Saturday.
Lower Columbia River below Bonneville Dam — April 1-7: 546 bank anglers caught 17 spring chinook and two steelhead, and released six spring chinook and one steelhead; 1,140 boats with 2,679 anglers caught 381 spring chinook and one steelhead, and released 78 spring chinook; 10 bank anglers released two sturgeon; nine boats with 22 anglers caught four sturgeon and released 86.
Columbia River in The Dalles Pool — April 1-7: 18 bank anglers released three sturgeon; two boats with six anglers released three sturgeon; 33 bank anglers caught no steelhead or salmon; one boat with one angler caught no steelhead or salmon; one bank angler caught no walleye; 10 boats with 25 anglers caught five walleye and released one.
Columbia River in John Day Pool — April 1-7: 40 bank anglers caught three sturgeon and released five; 37 boats with 87 anglers caught five sturgeon and released 30; nine bank anglers caught no steelhead or salmon; 25 boats with 53 anglers caught 12 walleye and released 14; five boats with seven anglers caught six bass and released 26.
Klineline Pond — April 1-7: 11 bank anglers caught five rainbow trout.
