Join live chat Wednesday on opening day with local fisheries biologists, and eastside biologist Chad Jackson

DuckLake2The statewide opening day of the lowland lakes trout fishing season – the biggest fishing event in Washington – is happening up this weekend.

Want to know where the trout are biting? How about tips on how to catch them? Or what lakes are getting planted, and which are receiving the bonus jumbo-sized or triploid trout to boost anglers chances of catching the “big one?”

Join myself, and state Fish and Wildlife biologists Aaron Bosworth, Justin Spinelli and Danny Garrett from the department’s Mill Creek regional office for a live chat from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday (April 24). For an Eastern Washington perspective we now have Ephrata-based biologist Chad Jackson on for the last half of the chat.
