Lower Columbia tributary spring chinook returns still falling short of forecasts

The Lower Columbia River tributaries spring chinook returns are still well under the predicted escapement goals.

In the Cowlitz River the return as of May 10 is 701 adult spring chinook, including 33 wild origin. The hatchery escapement goal is 1,644 adults.

In the Kalama River the return as of May 10 is 25 adult spring chinook, including four wild origin and eight Lewis stock. The hatchery escapement goal is about 400 adults.

In the Lewis River the return as of May 10 is 28 adult spring chinook, including one wild origin. The hatchery escapement goal is about 1,300 adults.
