Spot shrimp fishery closing in eastern Strait of Juan de Fuca

The sport spot shrimp fishery will close Friday, June 28 in the eastern Strait of Juan de Fuca (Marine Catch Area 6).

State Fish and Wildlife has determined that the quota has been achieved.

The area will remain open until Oct.15 for non-spot shrimp, with a 200 foot maximum fishing depth restriction. All spot shrimp caught must be released.
