Lower Columbia River salmon and steelhad catch figures
Here are the latest catch figures by state Fish and Wildlife for the Lower Columbia River where action has started to pick up:
Last week on the Lower Columbia, anglers made 12,474 trips and caught 514 adult fall chinook (500 kept and 14 released) and 4,128 summer steelhead (1,882 kept and 2,246 released).
From Aug. 1-11, 4,905 boats with 10,835 anglers caught 530 chinook and 1,723 steelhead, and released 1,988 steelhead and 28 chinook; 8,352 bank anglers caught 161 chinook and 1,706 steelhead, and released 2,188 steelhead.
The grand total is 19,187 anglers caught 691 chinook and 3,429 steelhead, and released 4,176 steelhead and 28 chinook.
