State Fish and Wildlife Columbia River regional fish checks

Columbia River below Bonneville Dam – Sept. 2-8: 313 bank anglers caught 52 chinook and one steelhead, and released 77 chinook; 373 boats with 880 anglers caught 271 chinook, one coho and three steelhead, and released 413 chinook and two coho; one boat with two anglers released five sturgeon; two boats with six anglers caught no walleye.

Cowlitz River – Sept. 2-8: 28 bank anglers caught five Chinook and released one; 33 boat anglers caught 22 chinook and two coho, and released five Chinook.

Kalama River – Sept. 2-8: 52 bank anglers caught one chinook and one coho, and released one Chinook and one coho.

Lewis River mainstem – Sept. 2-8: Three boat anglers caught one Chinook.

Lewis River North Fork – Sept. 2-8: 48 bank anglers caught two Chinook, nine coho and four steelhead; 15 boat anglers caught one Chinook, two coho and one steelhead, and released four Chinook.

Washougal River – Sept. 2-8: 16 bank anglers caught no fish.

Wind River – Sept. 2-8: Five bank anglers caught no fish.

Drano Lake – Sept. 2-8: 37 boat anglers caught three Chinook and 11 steelhead, and released 15 steelhead.

Klickitat River – Sept. 2-8: 28 bank anglers caught 23 chinook.

Columbia River in Bonneville Pool – Sept. 2-8: 42 boat anglers caught 12 chinook and three steelhead.
