San Juan Islands still decent for nice mix of salmon
Here is a San Juan Island salmon fishing report by Kevin Klein, a member with the Puget Sound Anglers Fidalgo-San Juan Islands Chapter:
Salmon fishing in the San Juan’s continues to be pretty hot.
The kings just keep hanging in there, coho are plentiful, and pinks are still moving through in huge numbers. It’s been one of the best summers from fishy start to fishy finish in quite a while.
Everything from hoochies (plastic squid) to spoons to bait has been producing. Limits of salmon in the morning, and Seahawks domination in the afternoon.
This has got to be my favorite time of year!
