Yakima River yields no king catch yet

Here is the Yakima River fishing report by Paul Hoffarth, a state Fish and Wildlife biologist in Pasco:

The Yakima River was extremely turbid the first few days of the week.  Water began to clear late in the week prompting a few anglers to come out over the weekend.  WDFW staff interviewed 36 anglers this past week.  No Chinook were sampled.

An estimated 188 angler trips were completed this week.

There has been no observed harvest in this fishery to date.  There have been a total of 295 angler trips through September 15.
