Do you think you’ve got what it takes to sit on the Puget Sound Salmon Sportfishing Advisory Group?
If so then state Fish and Wildlife just might want you as they seek out nominations for the group through Dec. 6.
State fisheries is looking for up to 15 qualified individuals to sit on the board for 2014 and 2015. The group helps guide state Fish and Wildlife on salmon policy issues for sport anglers in Puget Sound and the Strait of Juan de Fuca.
Members meet three to four times a year, and help in the salmon season-setting process better known as North of Falcon, which gets underway in march through April. Members also are expected to communicate policy decisions to sportfishing groups in their areas.
Nominations must be submitted in writing and include nominee’s name, address, telephone number and email address; relevant experience and reasons for wanting to serve as a member of the advisory group; nominee’s effectiveness in communication; and name and contact information for any individual or organization submitting a nomination.
Submit them to Ryan Lothrop, Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife, 600 Capitol Way North, Olympia, WA, 98501 or email Ryan.Lothrop@dfw.wa.gov. For more information, call 360-902-2808.
