State Fish and Wildlife Columbia River regional fishing reports

Salmon/Steelhead

Cowlitz River – Winter run steelhead have edged out coho as the dominant catch.

Kalama River – Generally light effort and catches.

Lewis River – North Fork Lewis is still putting out Chinook, mainly for boat anglers.

Washougal River – Hatchery winter run steelhead and a few coho are being caught.

Trout

Klineline Pond – 63 bank anglers kept 64 rainbows.  The 1.25 pound average trout were mainly caught in the swimming area by anglers using Power Bait or Rapala plugs.
