COLUMBIA RIVER REGIONAL FISHING REPORTS

Weekend Fishing Opportunities:

  • Steelhead angling is fair in the John Day Arm.
  • White sturgeon retention is closed from Buoy 10 upstream to the Oregon/Washington border, but remains an option for catch and release angling.

Salmon, Steelhead and Shad:

The salmonid creel program on the lower Columbia has ended for the year and will resume February of 2014.

John Day Arm and Vicinity:

Weekly checking showed one adipose fin-clipped steelhead kept, plus one unclipped steelhead released for nine boats.

STURGEON:

Buoy 10 upstream to the Oregon/Washington Border:

Closed to retention, catch and release only.

The Dalles Pool: 

Closed to retention, catch and release only.
