Take on a new hobby of fly-tying in the New Year

Ring in the New Year by making a resolution to learn how to tie flies.

The Washington Fly Fishing Club will host a beginning fly tying class from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Jan. 9.

The class will teach 15 patterns emphasizing techniques with different materials. There will be several instructors present to assure each person gets the individualized attention to progress.

There are eight classes in the series meeting once weekly and the cost is $60. Register at www.wffc.com/instruction.
