State Fish and Wildlife Columbia River regional fish checks

Cowlitz River – Dec. 30-Jan. 5: 93 bank anglers caught six steelhead; 44 boat anglers caught 12 steelhead.

Washougal River – Dec. 30-Jan. 5: 25 bank anglers caught no fish; 12 boat anglers released one steelhead.

Columbia River in Bonneville Pool – Dec. 30-Jan. 5: 130 bank anglers caught five sturgeon and released 39; 81 boats with 251 anglers caught 20 sturgeon and released 768.

Columbia River in The Dalles Pool – Dec. 30-Jan. 5: 48 bank anglers released nine sturgeon; 11 boats with 34 anglers caught wto sturgeon and released 89; six bank anglers caught no steelhead; on ebank angler and one boat angler caught no walleye.

Columbia River in John Day Pool – Dec. 30-Jan. 5: 36 bank anglers released two sturgeon; 21 boats with 48 anglers released 10 sturgeon; six bank anglers caught no steelhead; one boat with two anglers released four steelhead; one boat with two anglers caught two walleye.
