State Fish and Wildlife Western Washington river checks

Cowlitz River near Trout Hatchery — Jan. 6-12: 35 boat anglers caught 15 steelhead and one cutthroat trout; 48 bank anglers caught 11 steelhead.

Washougal River — Jan. 6-12: 20 bank anglers caught one steelhead; one boat angler caught no fish.

Columbia River in Bonneville Pool — Jan. 6-12: 35 bank anglers caught one sturgeon and released 13; 22 boats with 58 anglers caught nine sturgeon and released 305.

Columbia River in The Dalles Pool — Jan. 6-12: 10 bank anglers released six sturgeon; one boat with two anglers caught no sturgeon; one boat with two anglers released one steelhead.

Columbia River in John Day Pool — Jan. 6-12: 13 bank anglers caught no sturgeon; four boats with nine anglers released two sturgeon; one boat with one angler caught no walleye.

Bogachiel-Quillayute River — Jan. 6-9: 10 bank anglers and 12 boat anglers caught 11 steelhead.

Calawah River — Jan. 6-9: 10 bank anglers caught six steelhead.

Sol Duc River — Jan. 6-9: Four boat anglers released three steelhead, one coho, three cutthroat trout, one rainbow trout and one whitefish.

Lower Hoh River — Jan. 6-9: 21 bank anglers and 10 boat anglers caught six steelhead, and released four steelhead, 10 bull trout, one cutthroat trout and one whitefish.

Upper Hoh River — Jan. 6-9: Three bank anglers and four boat anglers released one bull trout and two whitefish.
