photo 288Here are the first day results from the Roche Harbor Salmon Classic:

A total of 99 fish weighed in, which is the second highest one day total (104 on Friday in the 2013 derby).

The current leaders are: 1, Andy Holman of Friday Harbor, 20 pounds, 2 ounces; 2, Cory Warnock of Ferndale, 17 pounds, 4 ounces; 3, Pat Federspiel of Bellevue, 16 pounds, 2 ounces; tied for 4 and 5, Jeremy Mullins and Brenda Schmidt, 13 pounds, 8 ounces.

Total boat weight leaders: 1, Captain Craig Hougen, 53 pounds, 5 ounces; 2, Captain Derek Floyd, 52 pounds, 9 ounces.

The weather was sunny but cold and little wind – a great first day and a lot of happy anglers!

The second day of the derby resumes on Saturday.
