Clam diggers warned of a high surf expected to hit the coast

Razor clam diggers planning on heading to the coast on Saturday should be aware of a high surf warning issued this weekend by the National Weather service.

Those heading to Twin Harbors, Copalis and Mocrocks should be especially cautious of large waves 16 to 19 feet expected to reach the coast Saturday into Sunday.

Be alert for waves suddenly racing farther up the beach than normal.
