Four Header Fishing Derby on Saturday at Neah Bay

The “Four Header Fishing Derby” is Saturday, May 24 at the Big Salmon Resort in Neah Bay.

The largest halibut will receive 50 percent of the ticket buy-ins, and the largest salmon will receive 50 percent of the ticket buy-ins.

The largest lingcod will be paid $300, and the the largest rock fish will be paid $200.

The halibut fishery opened on Thursday, and action was good. La Push and Neah Bay are open Thursdays and Saturdays only through May 24 or until the catch quota is achieved. If enough remains it will reopen June 5 and/or June 7.
