Skagit River Salmon Festival is Saturday in Anacortes

Come celebrate the salmon returns at the  Skagit River Salmon Festival from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 6 at the Waterfront Parkat the Swinomish Casino & Lodge in Anacortes.

The free family-oriented event includes youth activities and arts and crafts, local artisans,and recreation and educational booths, live music, and the Fidalgo Fly Fishers will offer hands-on fly fishing lessons and fly tying.

Check out the Northwest DockDogs Club Challenge who will compete using a 40-foot pool to see which dogs can jump the farthest, highest and swim the fastest.

The KidzZone hosted by the Boys & Girls Club of SDkagit COunty will have the clown team of Zig Zag & Ragz entertaining with twisted balloon creations and face painting art. Also be sure to check out FIN the 25-foot migrating chum salmon.
