Beginning fly-tying class offered by Washington Fly Fishing Club next month

Peter Scheetz chooses nymphs while fly fishing at Gianinetti Spring Creeks.Registration is open for a Beginning Fly-Tying Class taught by members of the Washington Fly Fishing Club which begins in January.

Learn to tie 15 Northwest trout fly patterns, as well as receiving personal instruction on common fly tying skills. Each student will be given on-line access to the WFFC Fly Tying Manual. A DVD showing close-ups of the flies being tied, tying tools, and materials are available for purchase.

Cost is $60, and DVD is $10 extra.

The eight once a week classes begin Thursday, Jan. 8 from 6:30-9 p.m. at the Evergreen Covenant Church, 3200 78th S.E. on Mercer Island. Details: or call Pat Peterman at 425-503-5979.
