Potholes Reservoir walleye action remains good

Here is the latest fishing report for the Potholes Reservoir by Annie Meseberg at the MarDon Resort:

The arctic blast has entered and left the Columbia Basin this week and now we are experiencing a more active weather pattern and some fog. For the 3rd time this season most of the small areas of water have iced over. Geese are becoming much more predictable with resent cooler temperatures.

Now is the time to schedule a goose hunt with Meseberg Adventures (The Duck Taxi) www.ducktaxi.com.

Our walleye fishing on Potholes Reservoir has continued to produce quality fish. Right now most walleye being caught are reported by fishers using blade baits fishing in 25 to 60 feet of water.

Some larger walleye over 30 inches are being caught by anglers using 5 – 6 inch swim baits along the face of O’Sullivan Dam and the mouth of Frenchman’s Wasteway. With these current temperatures the ice conditions are changing daily. Please call (509) 346-2651 for an up to date ice report on Potholes Reservoir.
