Latest west side trout plants will boost action clear into winter holidays

The fall and winter trout fisheries around Western Washington will get a huge boost as state Fish and Wildlife plans to dump 340,000 trout into 47 local lakes. Lakes planted between Oct. 13-15 in King County are Angle, 18,700 trout; Bitter, 1,712; Deep, 2,160; Green, 20,766; Langlois, 5,200; Fenwick, 2,200; Rattlesnake, 19,209; and Shadow, 1,980. Rock Creek winter hatchery steelhead fishery begins next month

The hatchery steelhead fishery at Rock Creek from the mouth up to the fall in Skamania County will reopen Nov. 1 until further notice.
