Seahawks won’t play at home in the playoffs
The Vikings’ playoff loss in Green Bay has two implications for Seattle:
1. If Seattle wins it plays at Atlanta on Sunday, Jan. 13.
The Packers’ victory means that Green Bay will play at San Francisco on Saturday. The winner of Sunday’s game between Washington and Seattle will play at Atlanta on Sunday.
2. Seattle can’t host a playoff game this year.
The Seahawks’ only hope for hosting playoff game at CenturyLink was to win two straight playoff games, have the Vikings go 2-0 and then host the NFC Championship Game. The Vikings’ loss means that if Seattle is going to reach the Super Bowl, it will have to win three consecutive road games to get there.
