NFL to release regular-season schedule Thursday night

Just a reminder: The NFL will release the full schedules for teams tonight at 5 p.m. local time. We already know who and where the Seahawks are playing in 2013 (and I’ve included that information below), but now we’ll know the time and date of all games.

The most intriguing games: Of course, the two games against the 49ers are going to be monster draws, and the game at Atlanta is interesting because of the wild playoff game there last year. The Seahawks have their toughest tests, at least on paper, on the road. Atlanta, Houston, Indianapolis and San Francisco all made the playoffs last year, while the Giants were eliminated on the final day of the regular season last season.

For a little reference: The Packers, Patriots and 49ers – all teams considered serious contenders for the Super Bowl heading into last season – played on Sunday Night Football three teams each last year.  The Giants also played three times on Sunday Night Football while the Cowboys led the way with four appearances.

The 49ers also played twice on Monday Night Football last year. That gives you a ballpark idea of how many times the Seahawks might play in prime time this season.

I’ll post the schedule and some thoughts as soon as it is released this evening.
