Day two of the Seahawks’ rookie mini-camp is in the books.
Coach Pete Carroll did not meet the media today, so no real news to pass along.
There was one new player with local ties getting a tryout, running back Peter Nguyen of Bellevue High and Montana.
Draft picks Chris Harper (receiver), Luke Willson (tight end) and Jesse Williams (defensive tackle) all met the media afterward.
Harper, a fourth-rounder, said he felt a lot better about his play Saturday than he had Friday, adding “yesterday you just didn’t really know what to expect” and he had to get into the flow and the pace of practice being much faster than in college.
Willson was the standout of Friday’s workout and said one key has been that he is completely healthy after dealing with a lingering high ankle sprain and lower back issues that limited him to just six games as a senior last fall at Rice.
Williams, who played at Alabama, noted the music playing throughout practice and joked “I’m not sure coach (Nick) Saban would like that.”
