McCoy to Injured Reserve

In case you missed it yesterday — I apologize in advance for not getting it on the blog — tight end Anthony McCoy passed through waivers on Wednesday and was reverted to the injured reserve list.

McCoy was placed on the waived/injured list on Tuesday after suffering an Achilles injury last week that could keep him out up to nine months.

Since the season has yet to start, the team had to expose him to waivers before it could put him on the IR. Any team claiming him would have had to pay his 2013 salary (a base of $630,000). As is usually the case in these situations, he was not claimed and the Seahawks were able to revert him to the IR.
