Harbaugh on Seattle’s PED issues: “I’ve definitely noticed it”

The Seattle-San Francisco rivalry is fierce enough as is, so it’s doubtful a few words from 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh could  make the games this year any more intense.

Still, his words today about Seattle’s PED issues are sure to get noticed in the Seahawk locker room.

You can read a summary here from ESPN.com’s Mike Sando, who reports (via other reports) that Harbaugh said he has “definitely noticed” Seattle’s PED issues.

Harbaugh went on to say that banned substances have no place in sports.

“We want to be a above reproach in everything and do everything by the rules,” he was quoted as saying. “If you don’t, if you cheat to win, then you’ve already lost, according to Bo Schembechler (Harbaugh’s coach as a player at Michigan). And Bo Schembechler is about next to the word of God. It’s not the word of God, but it’s close.”
