Morning links — Wilson’s turning point and more

What was the turning point for Russell Wilson during his rookie season?

There are lots of varying places observers can point to — Earl  Thomas recently said it was the pre-season game against Kansas City when Wilson had the big second half and all but clinched winning the starting job.

Wilson himself said over the weekend he thought it was the week six win over the Patriots.  Here’s a recap of that from NFL.com, which also notes that it was at that point that the Seahawk coaching staff being viewing Wilson as a strength rather than a liability.

It didn’t all go completely smoothly for Wilson from there — the following week was the loss at San Francisco. But it’s an view into how Wilson viewed his season.
