Morning links — Training camp now a week away

A week from today it all  begins for the Seahawks and a season that carries with it maybe the weightiest expectations in team history.

Can the Seahawks really take the next steps to get to — and win — the Super Bowl? Can Russell Wilson become an even better quarterback? Can a defense that allowed the fewest points in the NFL last season tighten up its weaknesses and become even more dominant? Is the addition of Percy Harvin the missing piece to make the Seattle offense just about unstoppable?

We’ll start to find out a week from today.

Until then, a few morning liks. …

— In the kind of thing that will only help fuel the idea that the Seahawks-49ers rivalry is becoming among the most-heated  in the NFL, a few Seahawks fans are attempting to buy some bricks in the 49ers’ new stadium. Here’s more on that from NFL.com;

— Wilson lost out to Colin Kaepernick for an ESPY last night. But there are a lot more important battles looming for those two;

— Here’s Mike Sando’s daily look around the NFC West;

— A ticket for the Seattle-49er game here on Sept. 15 is the 11th-most expensive in the NFL;

— The Colts are among the teams putting pictures of fans on tickets.  You can see an example of one of their tickets for Seattle’s visit there this season here;

— NFL.com has an interesting list of the top 50 players in college football. Washington’s Austin Seferian-Jenkins checks in at No. 41.
