The Seahawks made a roster move after practice today, waiving/injured Greg Herd, who hurt his shoulder in practice today, and claiming receiver Perez Ashford off waivers from New England.
Herd, a native of Tacoma, played at Eastern Washington and was an undrafted free agent.
Here is the bio on Ashford from the latter link:
“Ashford, 22, was signed by the Patriots on July 19, 2013. He was originally signed by the Cleveland Browns as a rookie free agent out of Northern Illinois on April 30, 2013, but was released by the Browns on May 30, 2013. The 5-foot-11, 182-pounder, played in 48 games during his four collegiate seasons and finished with 110 receptions for 1, 192 yards.”
