Friday links: Seahawks will start with the run

While much has been made this week of the loss of Percy Harvin for 2-4 months or so, the Seahawks have insisted it won’t change the core of their offense — which is based on the running game.

Jayson Jenks wrote about that for today’s paper, noting that:

The Seahawks led the NFL in rushing attempts last season and were one of five teams to rush more than 500 times. They ranked third in yards per game (169.3), third in total rushing yards (2,579) and fifth in yards per carry (4.8). The Redskins were the only other team to finish in the top five in all four categories.

We also have this notebook and this camp glance.

As for the Seahawks, they will  have a “mock game” today at 1 p.m., so we’ll have full coverage of that later.
