A couple of items of note:

— It’s no real surprise that Jackson is listed as the backup QB, but the depth chart provides confirmation  of what has seemed apparent throughout camp.

— Willson is obviously making an impression at tight end. Recall him hauling in a touchdown catch in the scrimmage Friday.

— The guard spots remain competitive, but the way they are listed is the way it has most often appeared throughout camp (and Carpenter was sidelined for some of today’s practice, as well).

— Chris Harper is quite a ways down the WR depth chart, reinforcing that the pre-season games will be big for him to state his case.

— Count Spencer Ware as another draft pick who will be looked at closely Thursday to state his case at fullback, currently listed behind the relatively unheralded Derrick Coleman.

— Those wondering about the kickoff and punt returners also get your answer as to who is where right now. Expect to see some players not listed there also possibly getting a chance, such as Christine Michael on kickoffs.
