The Seahawks released tight end Michael Palmer and announced the signing of of defensive tackle Martin Parker.
Palmer signed with the Seahawks on July 23 after spending three seasons in Atlanta. He had 21 catches for 123 yards in his time with Atlanta, although he was mostly known for his blocking. He was intriguing addition because of the injury to backup TE Anthony McCoy, but the Seahawks have been pleased with Sean McGrath and rookie Luke Willson so far this training camp.
Parker signed with the New York Giants as an undrafted free agent in 2011 and spent that season on injured reserve. He didn’t play in a game last season before the team released him in February.
