The Seattle defense may have given up a long march by San Diego in the first of its two possessions in last Thursday’s game against the Chargers.
But cornerback Richard Sherman says not to worry.
“I think we’re prepared, I think we’re right where we want to be as a team and as a defense,” Sherman said when he met the media after practice today. “Obviously you always have little things to clean up, but the continuity from last year is there, the chemistry is there, and the execution is there, you just need more and more plays out there. I think last week we got 10 plays, and it’s kind of hard to show anything in 10 plays.”
Sherman also was asked about recently being featured on the cover of Sports Illustrated.
“It’s difficult to believe because it was always a dream,” he said. “When you’re a little kid and you’re in Pop Warner they have the little pictures of you and they put Sports Illustrated and stuff like that, but you never think you’re going to be on the actual magazine. So it’s a blessing and a very humbling experience.”
