Morning links: What to watch against the Packers

Greetings from Green Bay, where the Seahawks will play their third  game of the exhibition season tonight at 5 p.m.

Here’s my preview of the game which also includes a list of players to watch tonight.

Defensive tackle Tony McDaniel may be the most intriguing one on that list as he has yet to play in the preseason after being signed in the off-season  to provide a veteran presence up front.

Here’s what defensive coordinator Dan Quinn said about McDaniel earlier this week:

I guess the size and the length as an inside guy, you don’t really see a lot of guys who are 6 foot 6 [inches] or 6 foot 7 [inches]. I think I feel his presence mostly in the pass rush, you know, where you can get a hand up; you can feel his length as a rusher. It’s great to have him back out here. He’s been working as hard as he can to get back. It’s good to see him back out here and I know that he’s anxious to get started. I know the guys have had a couple of weeks to get playing and stuff like that. So he’s really ready to get going.”
