The Seahawks just announced they have waived free agent rookie WR Donavon Kemp and released seven-year veteran cornerback Will Blackmon.
Kemp had been picked up earlier this month, while Blackmon was signed in February after playing with Green Bay from 2006-09 and the Giants in 2010-11.
Blackmon was also competing for a spot as a returner. Technically, as a veteran his contract is terminated and he becomes a free agent now.
The Seahawks still have 10 receivers on the roster and nine cornerbacks.
They still need to make four more moves to cut the roster to the NFL limit of 75 by 1 p.m. today. That may happen solely with putting some guys on injured reserve/PUP.
