A few more notes and links to pass along on the day Seattle got its roster to the 53-man regular-season limit:
— Here’s our story on the final roster makeup.
— Brian McIntyre of Yahoo.com, who always does a nice job following salary cap matters, says Seattle now is $3.9 million under the adjusted cap number. And recall that money can be carried over, so that could help with next year, as well as giving some flexibility for anything that might crop up this season.
— NFL.com has this on Antoine Winfield. What’s interesting is that until Winfield was hurt, there really wasn’t any tangible evidence that he was struggling with his play. He usually ran with the ones in practice, and he started the Denver exhibition game when the Seahawks began in a nickel to defend the Broncos’ offense. That was his last real action before suffering a knee injury in practice that held him out of the next two games.
— SI.com has this on Winfield.
— Here’s the official up-to-date roster from Seahawks.com.
— Here’s a cut-down analysis from ESPN.com’s Terry Blount.
— More analysis of the roster here from Curtis Crabtree of KJR-AM.
— Interesting stuff here from BusinessInsider.com detailing that the Seahawks are paying more to their current players this year than any other team.
