A few more roster news and notes

A few interesting 53-man roster news and nuggets to pass along:

— Via Brian McIntyre of Yahoo.com, Seattle will pay its quarterbacks just $1.45 million this season, lowest in the NFL and obviously a big reason it can spend a lot of money elsewhere. And that should be the case for another season as Russell Wilson’s contract cannot be renegotiated until after the 2014 season;

— Also via McIntrye, the Seahawks wavied or put on IR more draft picks — four — than any other team in the league;

— According to Gil Brandt of NFL.com, receiver Chris Harper, a fourth-round pick, was the highest 2013 Draftee who was waived by any team;

— Also via McIntrye, there were 73 undrafted free agents that made rosters. The Saints had the most with six. Seattle had three in OL Alvin Bailey, LB John Lotulelei and DE Benson Mayowa;

— McIntryre also determined that the Seahawks have the fourth-youngest roster after the Rams, Browns and Bills;

— ESPN.com’s Mike Sando also breaks down the ages of NFL teams.
