Practice squad update: Six rumored to have signed

After NFL teams cut their rosters to 53 yesterday, they began being able to assemble an eight-player practice squad today.

However, those waiting for the Seahawks to announce it today may have to wait until tomorrow, when contracts are signed.

However, news of a few players getting on the practice squad has leaked out via Twitter (mostly) and elsewhere.

Among those rumored to be on the practice squad are: WR Chris Harper, OL Ryan Seymour, DT Sealver Siliga, TE Cooper Helfet, OL Jared Smith, DE Ty Powell.

Here are some of the Tweets from players themselves indicating they have signed:

Siliga:

Seymour:

Harper (whose signing was reported by NFL.com), Seymour and Smith were all 2013 draft picks the team cut on Saturday but obviously want to keep around.

One player the team may have wanted to keep, tight end Sean McGrath, has been signed by Kansas City, according to multiple reports.

Also, safety Winston Guy signed with Jacksonville.

And a name to watch is that of former Seahawk Leon Washington, who was cut today by the Patriots and could be of interest to Seattle again.
