Another player the Seahawks cut this weekend has caught on elsewhere — quarterback Brady Quinn, who just a few minutes ago signed with the New York Jets.
The Jets have signed QB Brady Quinn and released QB Graham Harrell.

Quinn was signed by the Seahawks in April to be the backup to Russell Wilson. But Seattle then signed 2011 starter Tarvaris Jackson after he was waived by the Bills, and Jackson beat out Quinn in the exhibition season.
Seattle has just Wilson and Jackson on its roster as quarterbacks.
Seattle also had Jerrod Johnson on its roster as a quarterback during spring OTAs, but he was released after the signing of Jackson and is now on the Bears’ practice squad.
Seattle also had Josh Portis on the roster during the spring, and as a No. 3 QB last season, but he is now with Toronto in the CFL.
Should Seattle need an emergency quarterback during the season, one option is safety Kam Chancellor, who played quarterback in high school and initially signed with Virginia Tech with the thought of playing that spot before moving to defense.
Seattle does not play the Jets this season.
Also, reports out of San Francisco are that the 49ers’ deal with Chris Harper is done, pending a physical.
