It’s been reported in several places today, including by Brian McIntrye of Yahoo.com, that Seattle backup safety Chris Maragos has restructured his contract.

Maragos, who backs up Earl Thomas at free safety, essentially took a half-million pay cut, which puts the Seahawks about $4.5 million under the cap this season, savings that can be rolled over into future years.
OvertheCap.com has already factored the Maragos change into its breakdown of Seattle’s salary structure, which you can find here.
