Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman also met the media today to talk about the opener against Carolina, facing Steve Smith, and more.
Asked if there’s one thing the defense cann improve on as the season begins, he said: “Turnovers, turnovers, turnovers. That’s what it’s all about. We want to get the ball as many times as we can and that’s what we’re focusing on. Obviously Coach (Pete) Carroll is always focusing on it, but just getting strips, rips, interceptions, just whatever way you can get the ball, get the ball.”
He also talked about handling the attention that has come his way this off-season.
“I think I’ve handled it fine,” he said. “It hasn’t changed anything about how I play the game or how I approach the game or how I treat my teammates or how I treat anyone else. I think I’ve handled it pretty well.”
