Updated Carolina injury report: Safety Mitchell likely to miss game

Carolina’s final, official injury report for Sunday’s game against the Seahawks is out, and of most note may be that safety Mike Mitchell is doubtful due to a calf injury, meaning newly-signed Quintin Mikell could start.

Carolina’s secondary was already considered something of a question mark, and this won’t sway those concerns.

Count ESPN NFL analyst Louis Riddick among those who expect to see the Seahawks try to exploit Carolina’s secondary Sunday:

Also of note on the injury report, starting DT Dwan Edwards is doubtful and could be replaced by former Seahawk Colin Cole.

The only players ruled out are RB Kenjon Barner and cornerback James Dockery, each players with Pac-12 ties — Barner went to Oregon and Dockery played at Oregon State.

Here’s more on Carolina’s injury situation from the Charlotte Observer.
