While I wrote a story for today’s paper reporting that no real bulletin board material was uttered during the official media sessions Wednesday. that changed a little last night when reserve 49er running back Anthony Dixon Tweeted this:
“Extra weight on the racks all week getting less sleep preparing for these She-Hawks I love hostile environments Imma feel right at home…”
He has since deleted the actual Tweet.
Seahawk K.J. Wright, a teammate Mississippi State, responded:
“@Boob24Dixon lol the she hawks!! I’ll be sure relay the message to the fellas.. Its gone be a long night for you and the forty whiners.”
He then also deleted that Tweet.
I’m sore of reluctant to even give this much attention since attempting to criticize someone by calling them the name of the opposite sex is obviously pretty offensive and juvenile. But since it’s getting a lot of attention out there, including being picked up by ESPN and NFL.com, among others, it’s getting around.
If nothing else, it’ll be another case study in how not to use Twitter.
