Unger, Giacomini on Seattle’s inactives list

Seattle starting center Max Unger and right tackle Breno Giacomini are among the Seahawks’ seven inactive players for today’s game against the Houston Texans.

So yes, that means Seattle will go with a vastly-different looking offensive line featuring Lemuel Jeanpierre at center and rookie Michael Bowie at right tackle, along with Paul McQuistan at left tackle, J.R. Sweezy at right guard and James Carpenter at left guard.

Unger is out with a triceps injury suffered last week against Jacksonville and Giacomini is out with a knee injury that has been lingering and was aggravated in last week’s games.

Seattle’s other inactives are strong safety Jeron Johnson, fullback Spencer Ware, linebacker John Lotulelei, defensive end Benson Mayowa and defensive tackle Jordan Hill.

Seattle has eight active offensive linemen for today’s game, two who were picked up in the last week — center Jason Spitz and guard/tackle Caylin Hauptmann. Seattle’s other active OL for today is rookie free agent Alvin Bailey.
